The House from HELL: part 2
Welcome to part 2 of the house from hell. This part of the story opens with the soon to be new homeowners building the house from hell. Instead of rambling on about how much happened it may be better to actually present a timeline with pictures during the building process. Here we go!
In February of 2004 we signed the paperwork to begin work! Ah the smell of a new house, freshly painted walls, no roaches, room to grow into, the creature comforts of home ownership (namely a tax writeoff!), and best of all it will be ours. Have a look at the layout on the right right.

Here are some pics of the lot before groundbreaking, it really is a nice lot!
Some foundation work going on here. Little did we know this was the start of future troubles.
Framing! Things are moving along quite nicely. Time to start thinking about exterior colors for stone.
Roofing! Soon to be "dryed in"! It will be easier to see the rooom layouts and dimensions. OOps, remember the foundation statement I made earlier? It was about this time we found out that the foundataion was laid wrong. After much discussion and measuring we found out that our two back bedrooms are now oddly shaped. Bedroom 3 has become a 9' x10'. Hey, thinking positive here! That's ok it will make a great office! Bedroom 2, well it is now 12' x 13'. Huh?
Okay, now comes electrical and interior stuff before they "button up the walls". This is the Internet connectivity part of the house. Cool! A geeks dream! We asked the electricians if they knew how to PROPERLY install Cat 5 for internet access. We were assured they did. Click HERE for a quick peek at what happened to the cabling. Needless to say it did not get installed correctly, got completely ripped out by Bill and installed PROPERLY.
